Learn about how the Girls' Science Class is helping the school save money and participate in the Green Stars Energy Reduction Incentive Program.

We will be celebrating Earth Day at South on the week of April 23-27.  The Girls Science Class will be encouraging teachers to select one day this week to teach with their lights off.  Each teacher will be given a sign to indicate that they are relying upon natural light.

The girls have been busy making posters and displays to make the school aware of the upcoming eco-holiday.  The eco-minded science students are also asking teachers to consider thinking about teaching an Earth Day lesson and have created some websites to help teachers think about ways to bring Earth Day issues into their classrooms.  Here are some websites that the girls designed to help teachers think about Earth Day as well as some links to other resources that might help lesson plan:
